Research. Celebrate. Reset.

Two and a half years ago, our Upgrade Democracy team started to investigate promising and successful strategies to mitigate disinformation. Thanks to dozens of fantastic research partners, we were able to grow, adjust our focus, and challenge common assumptions. In September 2024, we celebrated the community by bringing together 100+ people from across the world — and condensed our lessons into 10 key points to increase the resilience of our digital ecosystem. In February 2025, the distinguished festivities of the Reinhard Mohn Preis closed out a memorable journey.

In the next few months the team will rest up, evaluate, and then reset with a slate of new projects (rolling out towards the end of 2025). Onwards!
